Filing Accounts

It’s a legal requirement for charities to submit their annual return and, if applicable, accounts.
The Charity Commission doesn’t offer extensions to the submission of annual returns. We did so during the COVID-19 pandemic as an exception, to assist charities during what was an unprecedented period of time.

Now that pandemic restrictions have been eased, we have reviewed our approach to filing extensions, and charities are no longer able to apply for a new extension.
